Dating from the turn of the century this young girl's dress would have been part of a premier communion ensemble, it is made from a light and sheer cotton muslin and is entirely sewn by hand.

The details are beautiful, tiny hand sewn pin tucks on the body, cuffs and skirt hem, drawn thread details, a sweet Pierrot style collar with cloth buttons, tiny lace trim on the cuffs and the highlight an integral belt which finishes at the front with two muslin fabric roses attached to the waist with poppers.

It fastens with a row of cloth covered buttons at the back.

It is in great condition, fully laundered, these dresses are ethereal by nature and need careful wearing but can be worn with a slip or body underneath, chest 30", waist 28", length 38"
