A hand stitched 19th century quilt with a diamond pattern centre and narrow bands of stitching on the four sides to create a border.

The same fabric has been used on both sides of the quilt, a soft weave cotton decorated with vibrant pink blooms shaded with green and wine red and bands of ombre shading, there are approximately two and a half loom widths on each side

Filled with a thick layer of batting which is still flat and evenly spread

It's larger size would make it suitable for a modern bed, 228cm by 200cm, 90" by 79"

Condition is very good for an antique quilt, it is left as found and cleaning is recommended before use, no major holes, overall it looks clean, only one very faint pale brown mark on one side,
