Part of a wonderful haul of unused farmhouse heirloom cloths all from the same vide maison, these twelve torchons are a classic utilitarian style for multiple uses so have no initials, made from a thick weave hemp fabric with a wide red stripe running down both sides.

They are a light oatmeal colour with that natural rustic homespun look, dotted with flecks of hemp. As they have never been used I have chosen to leave them in their straight from the armoir condition and they will need a launder before use, the discolouration is where they have been folded and exposed and washes out easily.
