These advertising calendars were a popular end of year gift for customers of the grand magasins and boutiques, in fact it is still quite common in France to walk into a local shop and be given a free calendar

Attached to the card poster would have been a tear off paper sheet pad with the dates on, which by it's nature has been used and torn off leaving a bit of damage behind but most of the main picture is intact if a little timeworn and with some puncture holes
